My God is my rock. I can run to Him for safety. He is my shield and my saving strength, my high tower.”

God is worthy of all of our trust, and He will never let us down. Even in times like this, when we are wondering endlessly what happens next. There are people who deserve some of your trust– your parents, family, friends– but only God deserves all of it.
In this world that seems unsafe and is always changing, He is the Rock that never changes. Build your life on Him. He is your Rock. Run to Him for safety, because He is your God.
Don’t let the scary things in life and in the world decide how safe you feel. Even though it’s natural to want to be in control, He knows what is best for you and what comes next, so let Him be in control.

God is always ready to help you when trouble and challenges come. When life feels chaotic and confusing, He is right by your side. Ready and willing to help. He will help when there are scary changes happening around you. He will help you face those scary situations without fear.

Capture the worries that are running rampant in your mind by saying, “I trust You, Jesus. You will take care of me.” Then give those captured thoughts to Him. Let them go and be free from them. He will take away their power to hurt you, because whoever trusts in Him is kept safe.

Right now, there is so much around us that feels so scary and is so hard to understand. We can worry all day and night about the unknowns and the chaos. It can take over our whole life if we let it. The good news is that we are not meant to carry these worries and fears. We are meant to give them over to God. He is the One who can carry all of the heavy stuff. I encourage you to give it up. Give it over to the One who has the strength to carry it. He wants you to give it over.

Here are a few more scriptures that go along with this:
Psalm 46:1-2
1 God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea
2 Corinthians 10:5
25 People are trapped by their fear of others;
those who trust the Lord are secure.

Blessings,
Maddie

Hear these words...

https://www.lorenamc.org/weekly-word-blog/welcome-to-the-blog-at-lumc

https://www.lorenamc.org/weekly-word-blog/welcome-to-the-blog-at-lumc#comments

Uncategorized

      [...]
